Sponsor's Message

Country Energy is very pleased to again sponsor the New South Wales Local Government Cultural Awards honouring outstanding arts and cultural achievements by LGSA members.

In striving to be Australia's best essential services provider, we take our responsibility to support the communities we serve, including promoting the arts and cultural life, very seriously.

The arts enable dialogue and exchange between people from all backgrounds, enabling common ground, shared perspectives and new understandings. Investing in the arts results in sustainable returns for communities and provides a platform for ongoing benefits in other aspects of community life.

The unique projects that have been uncovered by these important Awards over their history provide evidence of the positive impact that the arts can make in local communities.

Now in its seventh year, the $35,000 Country Energy Art Prize for Landscape Painting showcases the wealth of artistic talent across country and coastal New South Wales while contributing to the visual arts industry.

In addition, our eight service delivery regions manage local sponsorship programs, which support a wide range of locally-based activities such as community festivals, local sporting and youth events, environmental initiatives, and arts and cultural activities.

Country Energy's extensive sponsorship and community support programs reflect our ongoing commitment to strengthening local communities and contributing to the rich cultural fabric of New South Wales.

We congratulate all councils, who contribute to the fostering of cultural life and cultural diversity across New South Wales.
